FRANKIE VALLI TURNS 90
He was there in the early 50s – just a kid really; he was there in the early 60s leading America’s hottest vocal group – The Four Seasons; he was there in the 70s for the band’s remarkable comeback, and he’s still out there, performing live shows on tour as the original ‘Jersey Boy’. Frankie Valli is turning 90 on May 3rd, and I’ll have a major salute to this legend with songs from across his incredible career.
I’ll also have another edition of ‘The Sunday Sock Hop‘ in the show’s first hour, with some of the best songs of the Fifties and early Sixties. And then, for the show’s final half-hour, the first ‘Vintage Canadiana Pop Quiz‘. No calls and no prizes – just bragging rights – if you know the correct answers about some famous Canadian songs. It’ll be a fun show, and I hope you’ll tune in this Sunday (April 28) between 2:00 and 4:30.
