Premier Wynne has been on a spending spree ahead of tomorrow’s budget. The latest announcement is free daycare for kids from age 2 and a half to kindergarten. That is pegged at 2.2 billion dollars. It comes on top of an expansion of the Ontario drug benefit program for seniors, more money for hospitals, mental health and special education. Some of these goodies would not kick in until well into the next mandate.The context of course are rock bottom poll numbers and the looming election.
