Mayor John Tory announced his latest step in his plan to tackle gridlock. This morning, Tory launched “quick clear squads” on the Gardiner Expressway and the Don Valley Parkway, whereby rapid response teams will focus on fixing problems causing temporary lane blockages. We speak with Barbara Gray, Director of Transportation. And following this past weekend’s time change there’s a new Toronto Police pedestrian safety initiative. The week-long Step Up and Be Safe campaign starts today. We speak with Constable Clint Stibbe about it.
