Publishers, book sellers and readers the world over are eagerly awaiting what is likely to be the book of the year.
Tomorrow is the day former U-S President Barak Obama’s releases his new memoir “A Promised Land.”
He’s been writing it since leaving office in 2017 and while watching his country devolve into deep divisions which he belives will take more than one term for a new president to resolve.
“A Promised Land” is shaping up to be one of the top-selling political memoirs of all time and a potential lifeline for booksellers who like other retailers have been suffering financially during the pandemic.
The publisher has printed 3.5 million copies for Canada and the US and the book is being released simultaneously around the world in 19 different languages.
