A month after a major crackdown, Toronto’s police chief says officers have again raided several marijuana dispensaries in the city.
Mark Saunders believes search warrants were executed at four dispensaries today – and police will be releasing more information on Friday.
The raids come a month after police – along with municipal licensing and standards officials – carried out search warrants at 43 locations and arrested 90 people, including employees and shop owners.
The Toronto Dispensaries Coalition has said the majority of the shops offer high-quality medical cannabis products to those in need of them – but Saunders says its about making money “unlawfully.”
