Toronto police have charged and issued warrants for theft and fraud against six current and former TTC employees.
It’s alleged they bought tools and other supplies through work for their personal use and resale.
Some are also charged in connection with a plan to set up a company to bid on a TTC contract worth millions.
In the wake of the charges, CEO Andy Byford has announced mandatory ethics training for all supervisory and management staff and a forensic audit of the TTC’s contract protocols, signing authority and procurement practices.
