Millions of dollars spent to stockpile a drug against flu pandemics, may have been wasted. The study concludes that countries should use their money more wisely for more effective treatments. The study was published today in the British Medical Journal. The Public Health Agency of Canada closely monitors the effectiveness of antivirals for the prevention and treatment of influenza and says the balance of evidence supports their use.
