A major international film and TV conference is putting the spotlight on Canada.
MIPCOM says Canada will be its “country of honour” and get a high-profile platform to promote TV, film and digital works through screenings and conference speakers .
MIPCOM is an annual global market geared to European sales.
It’s preceded by MIPJunior, which focuses on kids programming and will also feature Canadian fare.
MIPCOM takes place in Cannes, France from Oct. 8 to 11 while MIPJunior runs Oct. 6 to 7.
The fall program is being organized in partnership with the Canada Media Fund and Telefilm Canada
