Doug Ford is going after a seat in the Provincial Legislature, even if he doesn’t win the race for the leadership of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party.
The former Toronto City Councillor was attending a networking conference for conservatives in Ottawa. He says if he is elected PC leader, he’s positive that his political success in Toronto will lead to success provincially.
Ford says as leader he’ll root out the rot he says is in the part.
He’s running against Christine Elliott and Caroline Mulroney for the party leadership, and he says he’s ready to fight against Liberal Premier Kathleen Wynne in the next election.
The PC’s select their new leader March 10th.
