THE ROCK’N’ROLL HALL OF FAME’s ‘CLASS OF ’24’
The Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame recently revealed its ‘Class of ’24’ and it’s a wonderfully diverse range of recording artists from across the eras and genres. I’ll spotlight ten of the latest inductees including the oh-so-reluctant Cher – who was passed over for decades, and finally said last year she wouldn’t even want to be in Hall – not for a million bucks. Others include Mary J. Blige, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, Dionne Warwick, the Dave Matthews Band, British blues legends Alexis Korner and John Mayall, and Kool & The Gang – so, a ‘Celebration’ !
Please join me for ‘The Class of ’24’ – and some of their best songs. I’ll also salute Canadian legend Bruce Cockburn on his upcoming birthday and I’ll start the show with our usual first-hour feature: ‘The Sunday Sock Hop‘ with great rock’n’roll songs from the Fifties and early Sixties.
