Dion Di Mucci was there in the Fifties with doo wop and on the ill-fated Winter Dance Party Tour with Buddy Holly; he was there in the Sixties with ‘Runaround Sue’ and ‘The Wanderer’, and with ‘Abraham, Martin and John’ too. He was still there in the 70s, 80s, 90s and into the new millennium with a wide range of music from folk and blues to retro-rock and exciting collaborations with Lou Reed, Paul Simon and many others.
This ‘Rock’n’Roll Hall of Famer’ is a living legend about to turn 85 – and still releasing new music this year – his 66th in the business.  I’m so excited to share his story and his songs with you this Sunday (July 14).  As well as a salute to Canadian guitar wizard David Wilcox, turning 75 this weekend. And – as always – our first-hour feature: ‘The Sunday Sock Hop’ with the best hits of the Fifties and early Sixties.
