‘HAPPY DAYS’ 50th ANNIVERSARY !
It might be hard to believe, but one of our favourite TV shows, marks its half-century mark. ‘Happy Days’ premiered on January 15th, 1974 – and what a great ride that was ! An iconic show with a stellar cast, great music, spin-offs and a fascinating origin-story. I’m looking forward to telling you all about it, and playing some songs that’ll bring it all back.
Another 50th anniversary this same week: Joni Mitchell’s biggest and most successful album, ‘Court and Spark’ was released January 17th, 1974. I’ll play several songs from this landmark album. And I’ll also salute the late guitar wizard Domenic Troiano. Sounds like a great show – and need I remind you of the brand-new feature in the first hour (2-3pm.), ‘The Sunday Sock Hop’? The best of the 50s and early 60s every Sunday at 2pm. Check it out.
