Starting today, Ontario adults 80 years of age and older can book their second COVID-19 vaccine appointments. And, Ontario is reporting 916 COVID-19 cases and 13 deaths today. The squad weighs in on the latest.

HEALTH CANADA EXTENDS EXPIRY DATE OF ASTRAZENECA DOSES

Libby Znaimer is joined by John Papastergiou, a pharmacist with Shoppers Drug Mart and Dr. Gerald Evans, Chair of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Queen’s University.

In the news: Dr. David Williams’ time as Chief Medical Officer of Health for Ontario will be coming to an end next month. He will be replaced by Dr. Kieran Moore who is currently the medical officer of health for Kingston. Dr. Moore begins his new role on June 26. Meanwhile, Health Canada extends the expiry date on the supply of AstraZeneca doses from May 31st to July 1st. Our health experts weigh in on the latest.
