The anti-Israel encampment at the University of Toronto has now been set up for a full week with no signs U of T decision makers are about to force an end to it.
Wednesday night, a separate protest was held at U of T by Jewish students and faculty in what they called “A Rally Against Hate.”
They began their demonstration outside of Sidney Smith Hall before moving to the area outside the encampment at King’s College Circle.
Campus security officers watched from nearby as the situation remained peaceful.
Meantime, Toronto Police have released a statement related to the ongoing encampment ,saying they are not providing surveillance of the site and they don’t know what encampment protesters are referring to when they allege police are using night vision and facial recognition technology. And unless there is a security or public safety concern, police involvement at the encampment will only occur at the university’s request.
