London-based Astra Zeneca is pulling its COVID-19 vaccine globally due to lack of demand.
Since the original outbreak, a number of international pharmaceutical companies jumped on the bandwagon to produce a vaccine during the pandemic.
The result has been a huge surplus of vaccines flooding the market.
Astra Zeneca produced more than 3 billion doses of its vaccine since early in 2021. But the vaccine hasn’t generated any appreciable revenue for the company since April, 2023.
