Could this be the end of the line be nearing for a band that provided the sound trackto a lot of Zoomers’ youth?
The leader of “The Who,” Pete Townshend, says they have just one final thing left to do before they “crawl off to die.”
The band has only released two new albums since 1983. Townshend’s last solo album arrived in 1993.
Townshend, who is 78, telling the New York Times they do want to do a final world tour.
Lead singer Roger Daltry, who is now 80, has announced he’ll be stepping down from his role as curator of the Teenage Cancer Trust Show which has played London’s Royal Albert Hall since 2000.
The program has raised more than $50-million to support young people struggling with cancer.
