The Globe and Mail is out with its annual survey on gender diversity in corporate Canada and Zoomer Media leads the way when it comes to top employer of women across all publicly traded media companies in Canada.
After evaluating hundreds of Canadian companies, the newspaper identified seven with significant numbers of female executives. Of those, on average, 44% of the leadership roles were held by women, a number steady from last year’s survey.
Zoomer media is identified as having a total of 64% of women executives behind only four other companies surveyed and ranks number one across all public traded media companies as the top employer of women.
In addition to Sam Houston and Jane Brown, who co-host the morning show on Zoomer Radio, other women of note:
Suzanne Boyd, Editor-in-Chief & Publisher, Zoomer Magazine
Marissa Lennox, Chief Policy Officer, CARP
Beverley Shenken, Senior Vice-President, Programming & Content / General Manager, Television Division
Lori Fitzgerald, VP Enterprise Sales
Grace Howley, VP Radio Sales & Assistant GM Radio Division
Libby Znaimer, VP News & Information Radio Division
Zoomer Media was founded by media icon Moses Znaimer in 2008. It is Canada’s only diversified media company uniquely devoted to creating content, services and experiences for Canada’s most powerful audience – the 16.1 million people aged 45-plus, who we call “Zoomers.”
