Coming up this week on Finding Your Bliss, is
Camille Dan, the author of “Aaron’s Energy: An
Unexpected Journey Through Grief and The Afterlife
With My Brilliant Son”. Just days after the tragic loss of
her son, Aaron, Camille began to hear him speaking to
her about his transition to the afterlife and his
experience on the other side. Camille shares her
inspiring journey through traumatic grief, and her
discovery of the infinite nature of existence.

Camille Dan is the mother of Aaron, and his two brothers and one sister. She has professional experience as a Critical Care Registered Nurse, a Medical Technical Consultant for Feature Films and Television, a Private Investment Manager, and now the author of this beautiful book. Camille kept a journal of Aaron’s transcendent messages, within which she wove an account of her own journey through her immense sense of grief and loss. Aaron’s Energy is the inspiring true story of Camille’s unexpected journey through this grief and her discovery of proof of the afterlife and spirit connection.

Also on the program, we are featuring two incredible talents. First, we are honouring the work of composer-lyricist, singer/musician, and dramaturge, Kevin Wong.

Trained at The Royal Conservatory of Music in Violin, Harmony and Music History, Kevin Wong is a prolific musical theatre writer and composer whose celebrated works have included:

Recurring John: A Song Cycle (Toronto SummerWorks Festival 2014 / Chicago Musical Theatre Festival 2015); STAR!(ving): A Collection of Songs; Misprint (with book writer Lauren Toffan, Women of Musical Theatre Festival 2016); Drama 101 (with book writer & co-lyricist Steven Gallagher, Bravo Academy 2017 / Etobicoke School of the Arts 2018 / Stage Door Academy 2018); and Reframed (Musical Stage Company / Art Gallery of Ontario, Dora Nomination – Best New Musical/Opera).

Currently in Development:

The Preposterous Predicament of Polly Peel (Act One) (with book writer Julie Tepperman, most recently a sold-out hit at the 2018 Toronto Fringe Festival and winner of the 2018 Playwrights Guild of Canada Stage West New Musical Award), Believers (with book writer and co-lyricist Ali Joy Richardson), and In Real Life (with book writer & co-lyricist Nick Green, most recently workshopped at Theatre Sheridan in March/April 2020).

Kevin was also the Musical Stage Company’s Associate Artistic Director from 2016-2018. He is a member of the vocal group Asian Riffing Trio (with Chris Tsujiuchi and Colin Asuncion). He is currently part-time faculty at Sheridan College

And singing a beautiful song from Kevin’s EP “Small Ways to Move” is the uber talented singer/songwriter Travae Williams. Travae is a third year musical theatre student at the prestigious Sheridan College, who is also a singer, dancer/choreographer, actor, and musician. Travae, who was born and raised in London, Ontario, is a 22 year-old upcoming theatre artist. He is a 3rd year student of the Honours Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance program at Sheridan College. Music and entertaining has always been a huge part of Travae’s life. When he was just 1 years old, he would lay on his stomach and play rhythmic beats with his hands and feet, entertaining his big family. He got his first mini drum-set when he was 4 years old. Travae has quickly grown into a well-rounded artist. He is a singer, dancer/ choreographer, actor, and musician. Not only is he a great musician and theatre artist, but Travae makes it his priority to constantly spread love, encouragement, and motivation through inspiring online posts, through his music, and in his daily life. Travae hopes to have a sustaining and successful career in the arts after graduating from Sheridan College in 2022 and he is optimistic for great opportunities where he can express his unique artistry.

His rendition of Kevin Wong’s magnificent song “Tides” is spectacular. And we can’t wait to share it with all of you this Saturday on Finding Your Bliss.
