SOME IN THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY WANT ERIN O’TOOLE’S LEADERSHIP RECALLED

Libby Znaimer is joined by David Tarrant, Conservative strategist and Vice President of National Strategic Communications at Enterprise.

First, he lost the 44th federal election. Now, Erin O’Toole is facing the first challenge to his leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada. Bert Chen, who is an elected national council member in Ontario, says that Erin betrayed party members in his efforts to try to make the federal Conservatives appear more centrist and that that strategy led to the loss. Chen has since launched an online petition that challenges Erin’s leadership. So, now that the leader couldn’t get the job done and has upset members along the way, can we expect more challenges to arise in future? David weighs in on the latest.
