The marquee lights will be dimmed at Toronto’s Royal Alexandra and Princess of Wales Theatres tonight at 8 to honour lighting designer Howell Binkely who died this past Friday.
Binkley had three shows on Mirvish stages including “Come From Away” and “Hamilton” and was considered one of the best in his field.
On Broadway, Howell was nominated nine times for Best Lighting Design Tonys and won twice for “Jersey Boys” and “Hamilton.”
He also won, Dora, Olivier, Hayes and many other awards.
Howell Binkely was 64. Cause of death, lung cancer.
