There is some good news on the condition of Hamilton-raised, Ryerson-trained Broadway star Nick Cordero.
He has apparently awakened from the medically induced coma he’s been in since late March, as he recovers from a COVID-19 infection in a hospital in Los Angeles.
Cordero’s wife and doctors says the actor is still weak but is responding to commands.
The 41-year old Tony nominee had an leg amputated last month and earlier this month underwent a tracheostomy.
Cordero was nominated for a Tony for his work in “Bullets Over Broadway” in 2014.
