Provincial public health officials say there are two new positive cases of the coronavirus.
A woman in her 50s who returned from Italy two days ago, went to Grand River Hospital’s emergency department in Kitchener, where she was assessed, tested and discharged home the same day.
Her symptoms are described as mild as she remains in self-isolation.
The other patient is a man in his 60s who returned from Iran last Saturday.
He went to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre’s emergency department on Tuesday, where he too was assessed and discharged home the same day.
He’s also in self-isolation.
The two cases bring the total in Ontario to 22.
Of these, the first four are all resolved with each patient having two consecutive negative tests at least 24-hours apart.
