The day after reporting Ontario’s fifth case of COVID-19, the patient’s husband has become confirmed case number six.
The man, in his 60s, is currently at home in self-isolation like his wife, who was diagnosed after recently returning from Iran.
While China’s been the epicentre of the outbreak, Iran is experiencing one of the worst outbreaks outside of China with 254 cases and 26 deaths.
The Ministry of Health says the risk of being infected continues to be very low for Canadians and for Ontarians in particular.
A Toronto woman in her 20’s who returned from China last Friday is the other new infected patient.
Three other Ontario residents; a married Toronto couple and a young female university student in London  have fully recovered from the coronavirus.
Seven other cases have been reported in B.C.
