Toronto MP Chrystia Freeland is moving from Foreign Affairs to Intergovernmental Affairs as well as being named Deputy Prime Minister.
She’s just the 10th deputy PM in Canadian history.
The previous one was Anne McLellan under then prime minister Paul Martin.
11 MPs from GTA are part of Trudeau’s inner circle.
Bill Blair is the new Public Safety Minister.
Marco Mendocino is Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Minister.
Bill Morneau remains Finance Minister.
Anita Anand is Public Services and Procurement Minister.
Deb Schulte, former York Regional councillor, is Seniors Minister.
It’s a bigger cabinet with 37 members, up from 35, including Trudeau.
Ten are staying in their jobs, seven are new cabinet members with two of them newly elected.
Like his previous cabinets it’s gender balanced.
