Saying he no longer had to remain neutral after stepping down as British House of Commons speaker, John Bercow is not holding back on Brexit.
(UK Parliament)
”I think that Brexit is the biggest foreign policy mistake in the post-war period,” according to Bercow.
He also believes breaking away from the European Union would leave Britain weakened economically and in terms of world standing and influence.
”The best course for the U.K. is to remain,” in the bloc Bercow adds.
He says the 2016 referendum to leave the EU is not the final word on the subject thinks it would be democratic to hold another public vote.
Bercow also says ”with total certainty,” Parliament would be debating Brexit for at least the next five years, if not next 15.
