No word yet on the cause of death of former provincial health minister David Caplan.

The 54-year-old Caplan was running for the Federal Liberal nomination in Don Valley North.
Caplan served as Minister of Health and Long-Term Care from June 2008 to October 2009 when he stepped down from the position over the eHealth Ontario spending scandal, after it was reported that successive governments had wasted one-billion dollars in taxpayer money.
Condolences are coming in on social media from politicians of all parties, including Premier Doug Ford who says he’s grateful to David for his years of service to our province and his community.
