We all like to get financial help and the premier is no exception.
Doug Ford hopes the federal government, city of Toronto and York Region will foot more than half of the $28.5-billion dollar GTA transit plan, but says if need be, the province will pay for the whole thing.

The plan includes, shelving existing city plans for the Relief Line and replacing it with the ”Ontario Line,” that would be twice as long, running from the Ontario Science Centre in the north, to Ontario Place in the west.
Ford says the province also intends to build a three-stop Scarborough subway extension, the Yonge North subway extension as well as an extension of the Eglinton Crosstown to Pearson Airport.
As for initial reaction from the city, Mayor John Tory says he likes what he’s heard and read so far but that questions remain.
