The Liberals say the committee’s done its job and that it should move on to other business.
Conservative and New Democrat MPs had been pushing for former attorney general and justice minister Jody Wilson-Raybould to return to the committee to testify about why she resigned from cabinet.
Finance Minister Bill Morneau was to deliver the document at 4 p.m. but that’s already been delayed by about 35 minutes for a vote on a procedural issue.
Tory leader Andrew Scheer is accusing the prime minister of ”thumbing his nose” at Canadians.
He calls the budget a ”political prop” in the Trudeau government’s ”unprecedented cover-up” of the controversy that’s led to the resignation of two cabinet ministers, Justin Trudeau’s top adviser and Canada’s top civil servant.
