With just 15 days and no deal yet approved, the British Parliament overwhelmingly voted, 412-202, to ask the European Union to postpone the U.K.’s exit from the bloc until at least June 30.

The motion commits Prime Minister Theresa May’s Conservative government to seek the extension if lawmakers approve her divorce deal next week.
MPs have already twice rejected it and if it’s turned down again, the government says Britain is looking at a much longer Brexit delay.
Any extension has to be approved by all 27 remaining EU member countries.
Britons voted 52-48% in a 2016 referendum to leave the EU.
