Not long after an emergency meeting of the Commons justice committee began, the Liberals voted to adjourn.

That prompted angry calls of ”coverup” from opposition members who called the Liberals move ”despicable” and ”disgusting”.
Conservatives and New Democrats continue to press the Liberals to recall Jody Wilson-Raybould to testify again, even though the Liberals already had defeated a similar motion.
Tory Pierre Poilievre accuses Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of ordering the shut down of the meeting so Canadians will ”never know the truth.”
”Justin Trudeau is transforming the justice committee into the Justin committee,” added Poilievre.
Liberal Francis Drouin, who put forward the motion to adjourn, says it was simply a matter of procedure since the committee’s next meeting, March 19, had already been scheduled to deal with potential witnesses.
It’s a closed session that coincides with the tabling of the federal budget.
