The provincial finance minister does not say if it the budget will be balanced by the end of the government’s four-year mandate, only that it won’t happen too soon or too far down the road.

”Our budget balance will be just right,” said Fedeli using the fairy tale analogy.
While not offering details during a stop at a Nobelton bakery, he says the April 11 document will offer ”relief for families.”
Fedeli adds it will outline the plan for when the Conservatives aim to balance the books and just how that will be accomplished.
However the finance minister also does not say if the path to balance would include job cuts, pointing out that the premier’s vowed to find ”efficiencies” without affecting workers on the frontlines.
Fedeli pledges the budget will protect what matters most — hospitals, schools and other vital public services.
