Greenpeace says a federal initiative to disburse money from a climate fund directly to Ontario institutions and businesses- is good news for maintaining momentum on greening Ontario’s economy.
Senior energy strategist Keith Stewart says Ontarians are going to have to find creative ways to work around a Premier – who can’t or won’t recognize the urgency of the climate crisis.
The Trudeau government has announced plans to skip the middle-man and send the remaining $420 million that’s pending for Ontario – from the Low Carbon Economy Fund – to cities, institutions and businesses – to help with efficiency programs and other emission-reduction efforts.
