The Honda Indy is back in Toronto for this weekend’s race and beginning today, the race car drivers will be the only ones getting around Exhibition Place easily.

Beginning at noon today, the southbound lanes of Strachan Avenue will be closed from Fleet Street to Lake Shore Boulevard West.  Tonight 8:00 Lake Shore Boulevard West will be shut down from Strachan Avenue to British Columbia Drive.

Practice rounds and qualifying begins Friday.  The big race goes Sunday.  The area around the Ex grounds reopens to regular traffic Sunday night at 11.

Police suggest transit is the best option for those who want to watch the events. The TTC and GO Transit will be providing additional service to Exhibition Place all weekend long.
