The federal government has announced it’s investing more than 26.7-million dollars in space technology.
Science Minister Navdeep Bains says that will support 46 projects at 33 Canadian companies – creating or securing nearly 400 jobs.
Bains made the announcement today at the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue facilities of M-D-A in Montreal – where three Radarsat satellites are being built.
The minister also indicated a new space strategy – that is already at least one year behind schedule – would be unveiled in the coming months.
