Nick Kouvalis, who ran successful Toronto mayoral campaigns for Rob Ford and John Tory, is facing break-and-enter charges after allegedly being found intoxicated inside a Burlington restaurant after hours last September.

Halton Police say he was there with a woman, Sarah Warry-Poljanski, who had lost the provincial Tory nomination for the riding of Hamilton Mountain only hours before.
She too faces charges.
The nature of their relationship is not known.
Both Kouvalis and Warry-Poljanski appeared in court in October.
His lawyer says they’re meeting with the Crown in the new year and hope to have the case resolved.
Kouvalis has been public with his struggles with alcohol.
Last year, he pleaded guilty to a charge of drunk driving.
Kouvalis worked as campaign manager for federal Conservative leadership candidate Kellie Leitch before resigning this past February after using an offensive term on social media.
He also ran the late Rob Ford’s successful 2010 Toronto mayoral campaign and then worked for John Tory four years later.
