CANADIAN INFLUENCED "SUMMER" MUSICAL HEADED TO BROADWAY

A musical about legendary zoomer singer/songwriter Donna Summer is headed to Broadway with a definite Canadian feel.
The show is helmed by Canadian writer-director Des McAnuff.
It features the work of Toronto-raised choreographer Sergio Trujillo.
The show is told through the lens of the 69-year singer’s final concert and charts her life from its modest beginnings in Boston to international stardom.
McAnuff, co-wrote the script and directs, Trujillo, is the choreographer. They previously worked together on the Tony Award-winning musical “Jersey Boys.””Summer: The Donna Summer Musical” is scheduled to begin preview performances at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre March 28 and open April 23. It’s currently at the La Jolla Playhouse in California.
