The world now knows the date Prince Harry will walk down the aisle with American actress fiancee Meghan Markle.
Kensington Palace has announced they’ll do so Saturday May 19th at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
A palace spokesperson says Windsor was chosen because it’s ”a very special place” for them.
The chapel is on the grounds of Windsor Castle, which has been the family home of British royalty for nearly 1,000 years.
The 36-year-old Markle, who attended Catholic school as a child but identifies as a Protestant, will be baptized and confirmed into the Church of England before the spring wedding.
She also intends to become a British citizen, though she’ll keep her U.S. citizenship while going through the process.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and wife Sophie Gregoire-Trudeau are expected to receive an invite, as are TV host Ben Mulroney and wife Jessica.
The British press speculate she may even be a bridesmaid.
Toronto-based party consultant Markus Anderson, who was photographed with Markle at the Invictus Games in the city last September, is reportedly the one who introduced the couple.
