The Grammy award winner who arranged and orchestrated some of the best known songs for some of the biggest star in music has died.
Paul Buckmaster was born in London and was known for his string arrangements that added emotional power to songs like “Space Oddity” by David Bowie, Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” Carley Simon’s “Your so Vain” and a 1972 album by Jazz legend Miles Davis.
Buckmaster died Los Angeles at the age of 71. No cause was given.
