JAKE ''RAGING BULL'' LAMOTTA DIES AT 95

Former world middleweight boxing champ Jake LaMotta has died in a nursing home of complications from pneumonia.
Born in the Bronx in 1922, LaMotta took up boxing after being rejected by the U.S. military because of a medical condition.
He was one of the most famous fighters during the ’40s and ’50s.
After retiring in 1954 with a record of 83 wins, 19 loses, 4 draws and 30 knockouts, LaMotta went on to act in several films and also toured as a stand-up comedian.

The 1980 film ”Raging Bull,” directed by Martin Scorcese, earned Robert De Niro the Oscar for Best Actor.
