Fans of Motown Music will be able to celebrate Detroit’s musical history by taking part in an estate sale and live global auction of the contents of the “Motown Mansion.”
The 10 thousand square-foot house was once owned by Motown Records’ founder Berry Gordy Jr. and will be cleared of its contents early next month .Among the items for sale, Gordy’s Steinway piano, jewellery, photos of Gordy with Motown stars, original pressings of Motown singles, right on down to cookware and furniture.
The dates for the sale will be finalized next week.
