One of the Muppets most popular character’s is getting a new voice.
Steve Whitmire, the longtime voice of Kermit the Frog, is leaving his role after 27 years.
No reason was given.
He voiced Kermit since the death of Muppets creator Jim Henson in 1990.
Matt Vogel will succeed Whitmire and makes his Kermit debut next week with a ”Muppets Thought of the Week” video.
The transition should be smooth as Vogel had voiced Constantine, Kermit’s evil doppelganger in the 2014 movie ”Muppets Most Wanted”.
