The jolly old elf may be the most popular person this time of year, but pollsters Angus Reid say ”there’s no amount of ginger or spice or sugar plum coating to put any kind of Christmas glow on Kathleen Wynne’s holiday season.”

The Ontario premier’s ending 2016 as the least popular provincial leader in the country.
The Angus Reid Institute says Wynne’s latest approval rating sits at 16% – down four percent from September.
It’s her lowest rating since she came to office in 2013.
Nearly eight out of 10 of those surveyed between December 5-12 disapprove of her performance.
Angus Reid’s Shachi Kurl says premiers whose numbers sink so low typically start considering how much longer they want to stay in politics, pointing to former Alberta premier Alison Redford, who called it quits in the face of similar numbers.
”If we start to see a fraying of caucus unity or solidarity … that will be something that can make the difference as to whether she (Wynne) stays or is able to turn it around.  This level of disapproval can spell the end of the road.”
