Ottawa police say a wave of graffiti hate crimes in the city – may be linked.

Inspector Mike Laviolette says three incidents targeting the city’s Jewish community have been reported in the past few days – including swastikas and anti-Semitic graffiti spray-painted on synagogues.

Similar incidents were also reported overnight at the Ottawa Muslim Association mosque – and at a United Church that has a black pastor.

The National Council of Canadian Muslims has joined other groups denouncing the rash of attacks – and members of parliament also spoke out against the incidents – in the House of Commons.
