Paul McCartney’s heading back to Capitol Records as he works on his next album.
What’s being billed as ”historic deal”, sees the one-time Beatle take his entire solo catalog with him, spanning six decades, 21 Grammy’s and over 500-million records sold.
No details of the deal nor upcoming album were released.
In a statement, the 74-year-old McCartney says ”This is genuinely exciting for me. Not only was Capitol my first U.S. record label, but the first record I ever bought was Gene Vincent’s ‘Be-Bop-A-Lua’ on the Capitol label”.
McCartney most recently released a compilation album, ”Pure McCartney,” in June and is on the back end of a European and North and South American tour.
