If you ride the GO Train, there will be some changes when you leave Union Station this afternoon or this evening.

Starting today, many weekday trains leaving from Union Station will use different platforms to accommodate work on the next phase of the Union Station Revitalization Project.

Anne Marie Aikens of Metrolinx says commuters have been told about the coming change, but there will still be confusion.

“A good portion will come for their train and say what did you do with my train?” Aikens joked, “so we need to prepare them for that, so we are again going to flood out the concourse with staff to help them direct them, transit safety staff as well.”

To do the work, platforms 11,12 and 13 are closed. So passengers who normally get their trains on those platforms at Union Station will be directed to new locations. There’s more information here
