A big boost for wine producers and tourism in Ontario.

The province is spending $2.25 million dollars – to help increase sales of Ontario’s world-class Vintners Quality Alliance wines – and expand tourism in wine regions.

The Wine Country Ontario Travel Guide 2016 highlights approximately 200 wineries in the Niagara Peninsula, Prince Edward County, Lake Erie’s North Shore and emerging wine producing regions.

Also showcased are Ontario’s four signature wine varieties: Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Noir.

The government of Ontario says it will be re-designing the V-Q-A Support Program – to  encourage wineries to create jobs and help increase the growth of the wine sector.
