There’s quite the buzz in the town southwest of Montreal.
Residents are talking about Karla Homolka, who has reportedly been living in their midst for at least two years and her two children are attending a local school.
Neither the school board nor police will confirm the reports, citing privacy laws, although the principal at Centennial Park Elementary sent home a letter today reassuring parents their children are safe.
Parents are outraged they’d been kept in the dark until now.
In the early 1990’s, Homolka and then husband Paul Bernardo were convicted of the murders of Ontario schoolgirls Kristen French and Leslie Mahaffy.
Homolka served a 12-year sentence for manslaughter.
Bernardo remains in prison, likely for the rest of his life.
