Not only is tonight the home opener for the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre, there’s a home game for the playoff bound Toronto Raptors at the ACC.

So if you’re planning to come into the downtown core tonight, GO Transit is an attractive option rather than sitting on a bumper to bumper Gardiner Expressway.

GO Transit’s Chief of Safety Bill Grodzinski told CP24 this morning, since it is a busier night than usual, everyone should be thinking safety first.

“With all those people coming in, and if they all leave at the same time, all rushing for the trains, just be considerate, stay back of the yellow line, we’re going to get you home just be patient,” Grodzinski explained, “In terms of service, we’re going to have some extra service for you tonight, so both on the Lakeshore line east and west, but we’d like our customers to think about taking the Union Pearson Express, great option, depending on where you are in the city, and honestly it probably won’t be as busy as some of those Lakeshore lines.”

The cost of the Union Pearson Express recently came down. It’s now $12 for a one way trip for adults, $6 if you’re 65 plus.
