Beloved British actress Dame Judi Dench was the toast of the Olivier Awards in London last night as she became the most winning actor in the Olivier Awards 40-year history.
The veteran actress won a record eighth Olivier for best supporting actress as Paulina in Kenneth Branagh’s Theatre production of “The Winter’s Tale”. The 81 year old told reporters on the red carpet last night that she has no plans to retire, she wants to be employed.
Other winners include “Kinky Boots” as best new musical; “Gypsy” as best musical revival; and “Nell Gwynne” as best new comedy
