The city of Toronto Integrity Commissioner says Rob Ford should be docked 3 days pay, or $900 for advertising a campaign fundraiser in a constituency newsletter.
The report says in the April 2nd, 29th and May 8, 2015 newsletters included an ad for a May fundraiser to help clear debt incurred by Ford and his brother Doug during the 2014 campaign.
Councillor Ford argues it doesn’t apply to the municipal code of conduct because his aide wrote it on his own time, and Ford paid him out of pocket.
Valerie Jepson says it does apply because the newsletter is connected to Ford’s constituency office and was sent using city e-mail.
City council will consider Jepson’s recommendations at next week’s council meeting.
